FROM CHEF TO POLARITY PRACTITIONER My life started in the southern part of Sweden, just between the Baltic and the North Sea. My parents owned a small farm. We were nine children, growing up among milk cattle, pigs, chickens, work horses, dogs and cats. It was a lively childhood with hard work and lots of love from parents, aunts, uncles and helping farmhands. When all schools were finished I moved to the big city - I had to check it out to see what I could find. After many trials and errors I become a chef. I loved cooking and it was cooking that brought me to the United States. After many years of cooking and being an innkeeper, it was time for me to start a new adventure. I have always been inclined to holistic medicine. Because of my cooking background and being a farmer’s daughter, everything with herbs and non-chemical living makes good sense to me. As I explored different avenues I came upon Polarity Therapy. Immediately I was enchanted and became a student. 4 years later I became a Registered Polarity Practitioner (a journey well taken), and now I am the owner of Journey to Wellness. MY EMPHASIS Now I know that if our energy is balanced we can have a healthy life. Polarity teaches that in order to be in harmony and well-being we pay attention to ourselves on all levels: mind (our thoughts), emotions (life experiences, stress, grief, joy), and our diet and bodily functions. As a Polarity Practitioner I really enjoy working with these levels; exploring the interactions between the senses and feeling how the energy can become healthier. I encourage clients to understand themselves and to view their life from a positive perspective I have an office in Manchester and in my log cabin studio, nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont, USA. I offer: Polarity Therapy (consists of personal process work, energetic body work, exploring individual polarity exercises and diet suggestions).
